These Donation Terms & Conditions govern the use of the online donation facility provided on this website. By making a donation, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Purpose of Donations
Donations made through this website support the upkeep, maintenance, and long-term care of parish facilities, including cemeteries, churches, and related pastoral and community services.
Where donations are made to a specific fund or purpose, every reasonable effort will be made to apply the donation accordingly. If a specific fund is no longer active or its purpose has been fulfilled, donations may be redirected to the general parish fund at the discretion of the Parish Finance Committee.
2. Donation Processing & Payments
- All online donations are processed securely using Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor.
- Payment details are encrypted and transmitted directly to the payment provider.
- This website does not store or have access to your full card details.
- Donations are processed in Euro (€).
- A confirmation or receipt will be issued electronically upon successful payment.
- Donations typically appear on your bank or card statement within 3–5 business days.
The parish cannot accept responsibility for payments that fail due to:
- Incorrect card or payment details entered by the donor
- Insufficient funds
- Payment refusal by the card issuer or payment provider
3. Security
All reasonable measures are taken to ensure the security of online transactions. Communications between your browser and the payment gateway are encrypted.
The parish is not responsible for:

- Losses arising from incorrect or incomplete information provided during the donation process
4. Refund Policy
Donations are voluntary and non-refundable.
If you believe a donation was made in error, you may contact the parish office within 7 days of the transaction. Refund requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and, where approved, will be returned only to the original payment method used.
5. Recurring Donations
If you choose to set up a recurring donation:
- You may request cancellation at any time by contacting the parish office.
- Please allow up to 5 business days for cancellation to take effect.
- You will receive confirmation once the recurring donation has been cancelled.
6. Tax Relief on Donations
Donations totalling €250 or more in a calendar year may qualify for tax relief under the Charitable Donation Scheme, allowing the parish to reclaim additional funding from Revenue at no extra cost to you.
To enable this, donors must complete the relevant declaration form (e.g. CHY3), available from the parish office.
